Results
The winner this week was Javid Latif, our club vice-captain, coming out on top with a winning gross score of 73 to take the Ward Cup then a nett score of 65 to take full honours. Will Dean, our club captain, was second on a gross score of 75.
There were 77 players and 8 2’s each one worth £4.50.
When you book in on BRS please take note what format we are playing whether it be medal, stableford or bogey because this week there were two players marked their card as a stableford but no doubt when entering their scores, they would realise their error.
Next Week
On Thursday we will be playing for the Shaw Tankard, a stableford competition and the second of the six Grant Qualifiers.
Away Day
There are only 14 members who have paid their £40 for the cost of the day. May I remind those who have not paid could they please do so by 16th June. We already have a waiting list so your timely payment would be appreciated.
Payment can be paid by cash or cheque and given to any DA committee member or handed in to the club shop if the envelope is marked appropriately but preferably by BACS to PGC -Senior Section, Sort Code 60-16-21, Account No 78509459.
Divoting
Next Wednesday there is a requirement for a ‘Divoting party’ starting at 9am at the clubhouse. For those that are not familiar with the process all you have to do is turn up and the reward for that will be extra portions of bacon and sausage with tea or coffee. The more the merrier for what will be a rewarding and enjoyable experience.
