David Marshall’s troubles up the 18th hole allowed Gary Broadhead to claim the Inglewood cup and the only man to return a score in the 60’s. A six would have secured the cup but a costly 8 saw the Inglewood cup fall from his grasp meaning he had to settle for the consolation prize of winning division 1. Gary Broadhead will collect the cup at the AGM and see his name etched into one of the clubs major trophies.
David Ware returned the lowest gross of the day with a splendid score of 70, no mean feat of the blue tees. His efforts were just enough to hold off a charging Gary Blenkinship, who posted 20 shots for the last six holes! A 4-2-4-2-4-4 finish saw him come up just one shot shy of forcing a card playoff for the lowest gross prize.
