Despite the weather the Greenstaff have been working hard addressing the areas highlighted during the season.
The 3rd green drainage issues have been addressed and new drainage pipes laid. A blocked drain was rectified and immediately an increase in water flow was seen. The below pictures show the ditch on the 14th hole free flowing and allowing the water from around the 3rd and 14th greens to get away.
In addition to the work carried out on the 3rd Green the drainage issue to the 13th hole has also been rectified. The soft area on the back left of the green highlighted further issues with blocked drains. The new pipes and improved access to the existing drains will allow the area to drain freely in the future.
Bunker renovation work has also started across the course such as on the 12th and as can be seen below on the 13th. This will be completed once the weather allows.
